2-DAYS EXCURSION TO CRACOW, July 21-22, 2018
We would like to invite you to Cracow, the most renowned tourist destination in Poland. The city of artistic circles and culture with centuries-long history attracts millions of tourists every year. Our licensed guide will show you the historical centre of Cracow and on the second day you will have the opportunity to visit part of the Beskid Mountains region. We offer the accommodation in a 3-star hotel, meals (1 breakfast, 1 dinner, 2 lunches), transportation by air-conditioned, comfortable bus/coach and licensed guide service. Final prices are given in EUR per person.
Day 1, 21th July 2018
Early morning departure by train from Warsaw to Cracow. After arrival check in at the hotel and afterwards walk around the Old Town, including the Main Market Square with the Sukiennice cloth hall and the Church of the Virgin Mary including the magnificent gothic wooden altar by Wit Stwosz. You will also visit Collegium Maius – the Jagiellonian University’s oldest building. Lunch at the local restaurant. Then afternoon visit to the Wawel Hill with the Royal Castle and the Cathedral, place where Polish kings were crowned and buried. In the end visit to Kazimierz – the south-eastern quarter of old Krakow, the historical centre of local Jewish religious and social life. Dinner in the local restaurant and back to the hotel.
Day 2, 22th July 2018
Departure after breakfast from Cracow to Sucha Beskidzka. The stop in the area of Budzow or Sucha Beskidzka including approx 2 hours hiking (to get to know the idea of historical land use changes in this part of the Carpathians and methods of their study). Please note: hiking will not be particularly difficult, but when the weather changes, you should expect mud along the route. Afterwards visit to Sucha Beskidzka Castle and lunch in local restaurant. On the way back to Cracow you will have stopover by Swinna Poreba Reservoir on the Skawa River and then visit to Sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska. Departure from Cracow to Warsaw by train.
